What is UAV Forge?
UAV Forge is a senior design project with the goal of designing and fabricating an autonomous unmanned vehicle, or UAV. Students from various disciplines, ranging from Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering to Electrical Engineering and CS, to partake in the end to end process from project conception to fabrication and testing of a UAV.
My Role in UAV Forge
I was a part of the Structures Engineering team under the Mechanical Engineering subdivision of the project. My primary contributions to the project are below:
• Designed vortex generators to improve aircraft stability using SolidWorks CFD.
• Collaborated with other structures members to design a drop mechanism for an Unmanned Ground Vehicle released from the UAV.
• Collaborated with other structures members to design a drop mechanism for an Unmanned Ground Vehicle released from the UAV.
